How to Collect Your DNA Sample

Collecting your DNA for My Happy Genes is simple and non-invasive. Be sure to follow the instructions on the box to register your kit before opening the box. Your kit includes clear instructions for the painless cheek swab.  Use the packet to simply swab the inside of your cheek as directed, seal your sample in the provided container, and mail it back using the prepaid envelope. The entire process takes just a few minutes at home, with no needles or lab visits required.

What Happens After You Submit

Once your sample is received, the laboratory analyzes your DNA to identify genetic markers related to wellness, metabolism, nutrient response, and longevity factors. You and your provider will receive a personalized report with insights into your genetic blueprint and science-backed recommendations tailored to your unique biology.

• Barcode-based sample identification: Genetic samples are identified using a unique kit barcode rather than your name at the laboratory.

• Sample disposal: Physical samples are deleted 90 days after arrival at the laboratory.

• Control over your data: You can request deletion of your personal data through your MyHappyGenes® account. Deleting your account removes your raw DNA file, genetic results, and reports from its systems.

• Commitment to confidentiality: Patient data is not shared.
